Start with the person.
Young people choose what interests them. Listen to the goal, the access barriers and the local context before building a plan.
OUR FOCUS / KIDS · COMMUNITY · INDUSTRY · GOVERNMENT
Sport, outdoors, creative work and practical skills. ROOTED is being built to help young people find a way in — through local knowledge, qualified instruction, mentorship and help with the barriers around participation.
CANADA-WIDE VISION. LOCAL DECISIONS. IN DEVELOPMENT.
HOW ROOTED GROWS
Young people choose what interests them. Listen to the goal, the access barriers and the local context before building a plan.
Qualified providers remain the technical experts. ROOTED’s role is to help connect learning, mentorship and practical support—not replace good work already happening.
Equipment, transport, fees and access can be the hard part. Support is a goal, not a guarantee; arrangements need local capacity, funding and appropriate approvals.
MENTORS + COMMUNITY / OPEN A DOOR
A skill. A local introduction. Time to mentor. A practical idea for equipment or transport. Families, educators, instructors, makers and community organizations across Canada can help shape what ROOTED becomes.
Start with your community, your interests and the kind of help you can offer or need. Please don’t send a young person’s private information.
